THE INTERNET EDUCATION SYSTEMS

Summary

The paper highlights the analysis of the Internet education systems which are designed for students. It is assumed that the Internet system is characterized by its interactivity which means a contact possibility between students and a lecturer. This kind of system comprises the the lecturer, student, dean’s office and administrator modules. The lecture’s module focuses on characteristic features of Internet lectures. Close attention has been paid to the advantages of hypertext, multimedia and supporting self-learners. This module also presents the method of preparing tests which enable the user to evaluate the reliability of student’s knowledge. The advantages of Internet lectures are presented in comparison with classical lectures. The student’s module presents the procedures of choosing subjects and forms of didactic classes. The use of artificial intelligence methods along with learning time minimization or grade maximization. Moreover, Internet knowledge tests and strategies of their passing are discussed. Managing lectures and students is presented in the dean’s office module. This module is based on students’ work time presented in the Internet education system. It allows verifying lectures and students. The administration module enables the user to manage the education information system, the evidence and statistical report. The paper is based on the thesis that although there are o lot of Internet education advantages, it is ineffective in fact. In terms of education and testing, the advantages of Internet systems are out of question. However, education, especially knowledge testing through the Internet is ineffective.
