DEINDIVIDUALIZATION IN THE NETWORK AND IN URBAN MILIEU

Summary

The article discuss the issue of deindividualization in the context of functioning in an urban milieu, and in virtual reality. The whole analysis is set in concept of lost in the crowd, and anonymity, established on the basis of the social psychology.
In the beginning the authors analyze the phenomenon deindividualization in the context of functioning in the crowd. Then they analyzed the functioning of the unit from the perspective of moral development.
Subsequently, the authors, supporting the results carried out on the basis of social psychology experiments, discuss the process of deindividualization outside the population.
Finally specific references to the process of deindividualization in the Internet, and in the urban milieu are presented, with the identifi cation of the differences and similarities between these different types of loss of control over emotional states and behavioral acts of individuals.
The whole analysis is embedded on psychological concepts from different schools and paradigms.
