Summary
This paper discusses the problem of changes observed in contemporary culture, especially in the field of political culture. Article focuses on explanation of mechanisms of cultural change, which are determining the contemporary political culture of developed countries (including the inhabitants of big cities), but can it be assumed that these mechanisms are also relevant to developing countries. The article is also a contribution to further analysis carried out in this area. Work is trying to justify the universality of the concept of information society, whose characteristics can be clearly seen especially in urban environments, in urban areas.
