Streszczenie
Artykuł przedstawia krótką charakterystykę bankowych papierów wartościowych strukturyzowanych (BPW), które są nowoczesnym instrumentem finansowym, otwierającym przed klientami możliwość inwestowania z pełną ochroną kapitału, zarówno na tradycyjnych jak i alternatywnych rynkach (np. akcje, towary, waluty, nieruchomości, surowce). BPW są połączeniem depozytu, mającego zapewnić zwrot kapitału w dacie zapadalności oraz części inwestycyjnej, pracującej na potencjalne zyski. Część inwestycyjna przeznaczona jest na zakup instrumentów finansowych (najczęściej opcji), które pozwolą na realizację określonej strategii inwestycyjnej, opisanej szczegółowo w warunkach emisji danego BPW. Ponadto, BPW są objęte gwarancjami Bankowego Funduszu Gwarancyjnego.

Summary
The article presents a short description of BPW, which is a modern financial instrument, which gives customers the possibility to invest with full capital protection on both traditional and alternative markets (eg, stocks, commodities, currencies, real estate). BPW are a combination of deposit, to improve return on capital at the date of maturity of the investment, and the investment part, working on potential profits. The investment part is intended for the purchase of financial instruments (usually an option), which will allow for the implementation of a specific investment strategy described in detail in terms of the issue of the BPW. In addition, BPW is subject to guarantees of the Bank Guarantee Fund.
