Artykuł poświęcony jest problematyce zarządzania finansami gospodarstw domowych. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie teoretycznych i praktycznych aspektów zarządzania finansami gospodarstw domowych. W tym celu autor w syntetyczny sposób przedstawił podstawowe pojęcia związane z finansami osobistymi oraz zaproponował nowy sposób definiowania zarządzania finansami gospodarstw domowych. Wyraźne odróżnienie planowania i zarządzania finansami może stanowić przyczynek do dalszej dyskusji w tym obszarze.

The article is devoted to the issues of financial management of households. It presents the theoretical and practical aspects of financial management of households. For this purpose, the author presented in summary form the basic concepts related to personal finances, and proposed a new way of defining the financial management of households. A clear distinction between planning and financial management can be a contribution to further discussion in this area.
