Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie roli administracji publicznej szczebla lokalnego i regionalnego w realizacji polityki rozwoju opartej na klastrach. W pierwszej części artykułu wyjaśniono istotę polityki klastrowej oraz zaprezentowano cele i rodzaje tej polityki. Następnie wskazano na wybrane działania, formy, narzędzia i instrumenty wykorzystywane przez władze publiczne na rzecz wspierania struktur klastrowych na poziomie lokalnym i regionalnym. W zakończeniu, nawiązując do prowadzonych rozważań, przedstawiono wnioski i rekomendacje w zakresie najlepszych sposobów wspierania struktur klastrowych przez władze samorządowe.

THE ROLE OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE DEVELOPMENT POLICY BASED ON CLUSTERS
Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to present the role of the public administration at the local and regional levels in the implementation of the development policy based on clusters. It is in the fi rst part of this article that the essence of the cluster policy was explained and the objectives and types of this policy were presented. Next the chosen actions, forms, tools and instruments used by offi cial authorities for supporting cluster at the local and regional levels were shown. It is in the conclusion of the article that with reference to the discussion carried out, the conclusions and recommendations on the best ways of supporting cluster structures by local authorities were presented.
