Streszczenie:
Artykuł porusza problematykę zarządzania ryzykiem w sektorze rolnym przy wykorzystaniu jednej z metod, tj. ubezpieczenia. Omówiony został unijny oraz krajowy system prawny zarządzania ryzykiem w rolnictwie. Szczegółowo zostały przedstawione obowiązkowe ubezpieczenia rolne jako przykład instrumentu zarządzania ryzykiem katastroficznym. W artykule zestawiono także dane statystyczne obrazujące sytuację na rynku obowiązkowych ubezpieczeń upraw i zwierząt gospodarskich.

THE INSURANCE AS A METHOD OF RISK MANAGEMENT IN THE AGRICULTURE
Abstract:
The article touches on a problems connected with risk management in agricultural sector, with using the insurance as one of the methods. There were discussed both law systems of risk managing in the agriculture - the system of the European Union and the national system. There were in detail presented the mandatory agricultural insurances as an example of instrument of managing catastrophic risk. In the article were also presented statistics illustrating the situation on the mandatory farming insurances market and on the farm animals insurance market.
