W artykule przedstawiono istotę, rodzaje, procedury i organizację przekształcenia SPZOZ w spółki prawa handlowego. Wskazano przy tym na uczestników tego procesu (to jest organy tworzące oraz przekształcane zakłady) i ich rolę w sprawnym jego przebiegu, a także problemy wymagające rozwiązania, a mające wpływ na prawidłowość i rzetelność informacji finansowych generowanych w rachunkowości zarówno przekształcanych, jak i nowo powstałych podmiotów leczniczych w formie spółek kapitałowych.

Summary
The article presents the essence, types, procedures, and organization of the transformation of inde-pendent public health care establishments into commercial companies. It describes the participants of such transformation (funding bodies and transformed establishments) and their role in efficient course of this pro-cess. The article also indicates problems to be resolved which affect the correctness and reliability of financial information generated in the accounting system of transformed and newly established medical entities.
