Summary
The author's subject of interest are the changes that take place in the healthcare centres connected with the activities of their founding organs, namely, the local governments, in the process of adjusting to the political-economic changes and health system transformation. The work comprises the analysis and an attempt to asses the process of organizational transformation and restructurization of healthcare centres. The main focus is placed on changes in the database of hospital places, restructuring of employment and financial effectiveness. The units analyzed and assessed are located within the lubuskie region.
