Summary
The article presents a preliminary identification of the effects of the global economic crisis for SMEs in Poland. The analysis refers to the number of enterprises, then number of their workers and levels of average monthly salary per employee. It also applies to changes in SMEs' investment and export activity as well as in results of their business activity in the years 2005-2009.
